INDUSTRIAL VISIT

An industrial visit was conducted for VI semester Civil Engineering students on 26-5-23 to Solid Waste Management Round Table (SWMRT), HSR Layout, Bangalore. SwachaGraha Kalika Kendra has been set up as a SWM learning centre open to the general public, providing an opportunity to learn and see the community and home composting units that are installed as live demonstration models. The centre also has information panels which promote good practices of waste minimisation, segregation at source that can be adopted at the home and community level. The students were given a session by Ms. Savita Hiremath, Ms. Aarati Thoppae and other members of the team. It was very informative and the students were having a hands-on experience of solid waste management. They were provided with all the information needed for solid waste management and conducted a tour around and provided with all the minute details of waste management. It was very informative and the students were able to understand and love nature in a better way.
